Turkey’s intentions in Syria

Turkey has gone ahead with its offensive in Northern Syria. As a result, several Syrian soldiers were killed in the clashes.

The attacks took place near town of Kobane between Turkish soldiers and US-backed Kurdish fighters, raising the specter of a war with Syria, since the Syrian government has said it would target Turkish soldiers as a result.
