Boris Johnson’s resignation

Finally, the scandal-ridden UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson resigned after losing support of ministers and most of the Tory lawmakers. He expresses regret he couldn’t remain as prime minister but made no apologies.

Opposition Labour Party and Scotland’s first minister Sturgeon said Johnson should not be allowed to stay as caretaker prime minister. Johnson survived confidence vote of Conservative lawmakers only a month ago.

Press TV interviews Rodney Shakespeare professor of economics and political commentator from London and James Tweedie journalist and commentator from Plymouth, the UK, to look at Johnson’s legacy, how he improved or hurt the UK, and what guarantees there are that the next prime minister and his/her cabinet would be any better.
