Algeria defeat Iran 2-1 in friendly
Team Iran have suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Algeria in a friendly encounter held in Doha.
The Algerians broke the deadlock on the stroke of half time as Riad Benayad intercepted a back pass from Alireza Jahanbakhsh and put it past Iran keeper.
Jahanbakhsh made amends for the mistake on the hour mark, scoring the equalizer from a left flank delivery by Omid Noorafkan.
With the match appearing to end with a draw, Iranians made another grave mistake in defense giving Mohamed El Amine Amoura a golden opportunity to smash home the winner with 8 minutes left.
