AU Summit tackles challenges

African leaders met in Equatorial Guinea last month to address the current security and humanitarian challenges that Africa is facing the continent.

The summit was expected to provide solutions that would lead the continent to recovery, peace and development. In his keynote address at the continental gathering, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari said the summit came at a critical moment. This week we are focusing on the recently concluded Extraordinary Summits of the African Union that were held to tackle some of the major challenges facing the continent.
