Heavy Fighting in Ukraine

As US and EU allies continue to supply Ukraine with such weapons as drones, Howitzers, heavy artillery shells, anti-aircraft Stinger, and anti-tank Javelin missiles, US president has said Washington would supply Ukraine with M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems.

Describing Western arms shipments to Ukraine as nothing new, Russian President Putin says such weapons will change nothing in the battlefield. However, he warned that Russia would respond if US supplied longer-range munitions for HIMARS.

Russia has hit Ukrainian capital Kiev with cruise missiles for the first time and says destroyed T-72 tanks, armored vehicles supplied to Ukraine by EU states, while Ukrainian army says has recaptured swathe of embattled city of Sievierodonetsk from Russia in counterattack.

Press TV takes a closer look at the latest developments in Russia-Ukraine war in interview with Don Debar journalist and activist from Westchester, New York, and Cindy Sheehan anti-war activist from Sacramento.
