Afghans pay tribute to Imam Khomeini on his 33rd death anniversary

Afghans gathered on Friday to pay tribute to Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Revolution, on his 33rd death anniversary.

Speakers said resisting arrogance and fighting for an Islamic and independent government were among the main lessons they learned from Imam Khomeini’s school of thought.

They hailed him as a symbol of unity, justice, devotion, and honesty.

Every year, Afghans remember Imam Khomeini as a leader who laid the foundation of the Islamic Republic, stood for the oppressed, and inspired others to fight arrogance.

Afghans remember Imam Khomeini as a great leader. People here say they owe their freedom to the Imam's thoughts and efforts.
