Russia shuts off gas to Bulgaria, Poland 

Russia is raising the stakes in its energy dispute with the West by cutting off natural gas supplies to Bulgaria and Poland. Giant energy corporation Gazprom says it has completely halted gas deliveries to the two countries, because they've been refusing to make payments in rubles, the Russian currency.
