Italian Serie A: Juventus 0-1 Inter

Inter Milan have cut Juventus out of the title race, holding onto a 1-0 win, for their first Serie A victory in Turin since 2012.

The visitors were awarded a controversial penalty after a lengthy VAR review. Hakan Calhanoglu stepped up, but was denied by the Juve keeper. However, VAR interfered again and called for the penalty to be retaken, for encroachment by Matthijs de Ligt. Calhanoglu made no mistake this time, firing into the bottom left corner, to give Inter the crucial win. The Nerazzurri are now 3rd, 3 points adrift of joint leaders Napoli and AC Milan, while Max Allegri’s Juve remain 4th, 7 points off the summit.
