Argentina MotoGP Qualifying: Espargaro takes historic first Aprilia pole

Spain’s Aleix Espargaro has delivered a first ever MotoGP pole position for Aprilia Racing at the Argentinian Grand Prix qualifying. 

Espargaro posted the fastest lap of 1 minute 37.668 seconds on his final flying lap, to claim Aprilia’s first pole of the modern MotoGP era. His compatriot Jorge Martin rode his Ducati-Pramac to second spot on the grid, over a tenth behind the benchmark time.

Italian Luca Marini of Valentino Rossi's Ducati-VR46 team filled out the front row for Sunday's race. Meanwhile, reigning World Champion Fabio Quartararo ended up sixth on his Yamaha, ahead of Suzuki duo of Alex Rins and Joan Mir.
