Under a sea of red flags the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) held a big protest to mark its 53rd anniversary and support al-Quds.

People thronged the streets of Gaza city to take part in the event. Protesters shouted slogans against the Israeli regime and vowed to stand with al-Quds.

Tensions heightened across the Palestinian territories in mid February, when Israeli forces and illegal settlers renewed their attacks against Palestinians in al-Quds's Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine refuses to recognize the Israeli regime and maintains armed resistance as the only way to end the Israeli occupation.

DFLP activists called on all Palestinian factions to increase armed resistance against the Israeli regime and its forces. Protesters also slammed Arab countries in the Persian Gulf region for normalizing their relations with Tel-Aviv.

Palestinians stress that al-Quds will always remain the capital of Palestine despite the US and Israeli plots to change its status.
