Corporate landlords

Wallstreet has bought more than 60 billion dollars worth of housing. Giant companies now own hundreds of thousands of single homes. Many renters have to deal with corporations to rent a home and many have to compete with rich companies to purchase a house they’ve been saving up to buy. Entire neighborhoods are being bought by these companies to make profit out of rent, driving up prices of homes, and many families are being forced to evict.

Companies are taking advantage of the Covid-19 crisis to buy foreclosed homes and now, the dream for an American to own a house has turned into a nightmare. This week we will talk about corporate landlords in the United States. How large corporations have taken advantage of economic crises and bought massive number of houses.
