Iran ready to transfer technology, share scientific achievements with Mali: FM
Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian says the Islamic Republic is ready to share its achievements in various scientific and industrial fields, healthcare in particular, with Mali.
Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a Sunday meeting with his Malian counterpart, Abdoulaye Diop, in Tehran while discussing with him the latest regional and international developments as well as various issues of mutual interest.
He said the Iranian administration is resolute on the improvement of all-out relations, exchanges and interaction with Mali in all fields of common interest.
Pointing to Iran's great progress made in various industrial and scientific sectors, including healthcare, medicine and medical equipment, the top Iranian diplomat voiced Tehran's readiness to transfer technology and share its achievement with Bamako.
Amir-Abdollahian stressed the importance of exchanging visits between Iranian and Malian authorities in a bid to develop relations and said African countries have a special position in the Islamic Republic's foreign policy.
The Malian foreign minister, for his part, said his country is keen to boost relations with Iran, particularly in trade and economic fields.
Diop invited Amir-Abdollahian to pay a visit to Bamako at the earliest which was accepted by the Iranian side.
The two foreign ministers also stressed the need to expand cooperation on issues of common interest, including education, health, modern technologies, animal husbandry and energy, especially solar energy, and agreed on a roadmap for strengthening cooperation as soon as possible.
