The Palestinian Center for Human Rights, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, and Al-Haq have jointly published a statistical report documenting the human and material losses suffered by Palestinians during Israel’s full-scale military bombardment on the Gaza Strip in May last year.

During the eleven day war Israeli forces killed at least 240 Palestinians including 59 children. The report provides details of the victims in other protected categories, including people with disability, medical staff and journalists, and other facts related to the circumstances of their killing by Israeli forces.

The 40-page report also presents information regarding the damage to civilian objects especially residential houses, commercial areas and educational facilities.

The organizations reiterated their strong condemnation of the apparent war crimes committed by the Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip. They also called on the international community and international legal bodies including the International Criminal Court to investigate the Israeli crimes and to hold the perpetrators accountable.

Since 2008 the Israeli regime has waged four wars on the Gaza Strip killing and maiming thousands of Palestinians. According to Palestinian human rights organizations Israel’s use of unconventional weapons during wars increased the number of civilian victims.
