Asian Handball Championship 2022: Iran beats KSA
Iran have advanced into second round as group B leaders after taking down the host country in the 2022 Asian Handball Championship in Saudi Arabia.
Team-Melli who had demolished Australia and India in their first two games, carried on with a 24-20 triumph over Saudi Arabia to advance as group winners.
The tournament resumes on Saturday, after a one day rest. In the second round, Iran will be playing against Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq.
The top five teams will qualify for the 2023 World Championship, which will be co-hosted by Poland and Sweden.
