India Supreme Court directs states to investigate hate speeches against Muslims

India’s Supreme Court has notified the northern state of Uttrakhand and New Delhi authorities to investigate the recent incidents of vicious hate speeches by several Hindu religious leaders which called for Muslim genocide. The petitioner stated such incidents if not addressed with the rule of law pose a grave threat to the unity and integrity of the country and also endanger the lives of millions of Muslim citizens.
