Tribute to Archbishop Tutu

South Africa early January bid farewell to Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the last great hero of the struggle against apartheid.

Tutu opposed the evils of racism, oppression, intolerance, and injustice not just during apartheid South Africa, but wherever in the world he saw moral wrongs. This is how South African President described the late Archbishop Tutu during his funeral ceremony.

This week we are focusing on South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu who passed away last December. He was the last in a generation of great heroes who struggled against the South African apartheid regime.

Internationally he was a renowned supporter of the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli apartheid regime. In the second part of our program we shall talk about the postponement of Libyan presidential election that was supposed to take place last December. We are asking, what are the local and international factors behind this postponement?
