He was assassinated in 2020. But Qasem Soleimani’s legacy continues and has been kept alive via regional operations, in hearts and minds of Muslims and by days of TV broadcasts in the run-up to his two-year anniversary. Known for piety and courage, even his enemies had a good word to put in for him; enemies such as Israel and America, to whom he was a thorn in the side, in West Asia.
