The second specialized exhibition of Iranian products and industries opened its doors in the Syrian capital Damascus. It was inaugurated by Iran’s minister of industry, mine and trade who reiterated his country’s support for Syria’s economy.

Over 164 Iranian companies including representatives from governmental institutions are taking part. They are offering products in the fields of reconstruction, electricity, medical and agricultural equipment, security, oil and vehicles.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Iran’s minister of industry, mine and trade held meetings with top Syrian officials, mainly focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation between both economies and implementing previously signed agreements.

The event increases the chances of cooperation among businessmen and public institutions between the two countries, especially at a time Syria is recovering from a decade-long war and is in need of boosting its economy.

And for years, officials here stressed that Syria’s allies will have the biggest share of economic investments.
