US-led sanctions against Zimbabwe

Southern African Development Community dedicated October the 25th as “Anti-Sanctions Day” in solidarity with Zimbabwe which faces illegal and unilateral sanctions imposed by Western countries led by the United States.

To mark the day this year, Zimbabwe’s president addressed the nation and started by explaining the background of the sanctions.

This week we are focusing on US-led sanctions on Zimbabwe and how they are impacting negatively on ordinary people.

In the second part of our show, we shall see how mostly American chocolate companies are involved in perpetuating child labor and slavery in West African cocoa plantations.
