Iraqi elections: Sadr wins. His demand: end to foreign interference

Parliamentary elections were held in Iraq, with a voter turnout of about 41%. The elections were held one year in advance in response to protests calling for reform. Nevertheless, the party of Muqtada al- Sadr came in first place, with former PM al-Maliki a close second.
