In solidarity with the Palestinian inmates in Israeli jails, Palestinians held a demonstration in front of the Red Cross headquarters in the Gaza City, demanding an end to the recent Israeli strict treatment against the inmates.

Following the recent jailbreak of six inmates from the high-security Gilboa prison, Israeli regime keeps practicing inhumane policies and increasing abuse against Palestinian detainees.

According to the Palestinian Prisoners' Club, dozens of Palestinian detainees from Islamic Jihad have begun their open-ended hunger strike, protesting the Israeli violations and torture inside jails.

In his speech, the secretary general of the Islamic Jihad, Ziad Al Nakhala, announced the movement's readiness to respond firmly against the Israeli violations of prisoners’ rights, even if this leads to a new round of violence.

Hundreds of prisoners who belong to the Islamic Jihad Movement have begun their hunger strike with support of other factions. The strike is in protest to Tel Aviv’s inhumane measures against Palestinian prisoners, intensified following the escape of six inmates from a high-security Israeli prison last month.
