US releases data on nuclear warheads
The United States has published the number of nuclear warheads in its arsenal amid efforts to restart arms control talks with Russia. According to the US State Department, the military has maintained over 37,000 active and inactive nuclear warheads. It’s the first time since 2018 that the data has been published. Back then former US President Donald Trump imposed a blackout on the data.
