UEFA Champions League: Bayern outplay Barcelona

In the UEFA Champions League, a Messi-less Barcelona have suffered a heavy 3-nil defeat by Bayern Munich in their Group E opener.

Thomas Muller broke the deadlock with a deflected 25-yard strike in the 34th minute.

Then, in the 55th minute, Robert Lewandowskii tapped the ball into an empty net, after Jamal Musiala’s strike hit the woodwork.

The Polish sensation doubled his tally just a few minutes before the final whistle, as he applied a routine finish into the empty net, and sealed the deal for the German outfit.
