UN report on Taliban

A confidential UN document says the Taliban, contrary to their claims, are intensifying a search for people who worked with the United States and NATO forces. According to the document, the Taliban has priority lists of individuals it wants to arrest. It notes that the Taliban have been conducting targeted door-to-door visits of individuals they want to apprehend. The document, reported by AFP, was written by the Norwegian Center for Global Analyses, an organization that provides intelligence to UN agencies. The Taliban, which came to power last week, pledged full amnesty for all who worked with the former Afghan government.
