Israel lists US travelers for quarantine even if vaccinated

US travelers to the occupied territories will be required to quarantine for at least seven days even if they are fully vaccinated.

Some 17 additional other countries were also in the list, including France, Italy, Germany, and Greece.

The measure is supposed to come into effect until Wednesday, requiring travelers to isolate for a minimum of seven days – even if they are fully vaccinated or recovered.

Over 57 thousand passengers arrived in Israel from the US in the past month, of whom some 141 were infected with the coronavirus, according to the data released by the Israeli health ministry.

The United States is reintroducing some of the restrictions for Covid-19 despite the vaccination of the majority of the population, according to official reports, as the deadlier and more transmissible Delta variant spreads across the states.

Some states are seeing the highest increase ever in hospitalizations due to the coronavirus infection.

More than 614,000 Americans have died from the novel coronavirus and over 58 percent of Americans above the age of 12 have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Everyone in areas with substantial or high levels of transmission have been urged to wear masks regardless of whether they have been vaccinated or not.

The number of children testing positive for Covid-19 also rose to nearly 72,000 in the US last week, compared to 39,000 cases among kids one week earlier.
