Nigerian cleric Zakzaky freed from detention

Prominent Nigerian cleric Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky and his wife have been exonerated after nearly six years in detention. After more than two years of deliberations, the Kaduna State High Court has ruled that the pair was innocent of all the charges brought against them. Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, was detained by security forces after they violently raided his house in the city of Zaria back in 2015.
