Italy protest

People have gathered in the Italian capital, Rome, to demonstrate against the government’s new coronavirus restrictions. Protesters voiced their anger at the so-called Covid-19 Green Pass. The certificate shows if someone has been vaccinated, tested negative, or recently recovered from the coronavirus. The pass will be needed for access to many venues, such as gyms and cinemas, as of August 6th. France also introduced a similar scheme that has sparked widespread protests. Critics say such certificates amount to mandatory vaccination and infringe on people’s freedom.
