Theres a feeling that these tech giants are too powerful. But theyre also really good for consumers. Big Tech has, in some sense, gotten too big, and US politicians are starting to listen. Like former President Donald Trump.
US Senator Elizabeth Warren, and even the current Joe Biden. One of these five, Microsoft, was the subject of lawsuits. Another, Google, has been hit by European antitrust regulators for major fines. So what is the dark side to this story?
For starters, big tech companies have been pressuring suppliers and competitors. The tactics have been cruel and inhumane. Some examples Amazons price wars against competitors Apples management of its own App Store, and Facebooks privacy scandals.
