US infrastructure crisis

The collapse of the condominium in Florida has led to tens of deaths. While the country is mourning the loss of lives, the collapse points to a bigger problem: US’s dilapidated infrastructure.

The old and aged infrastructure in the US, from roads, bridges to schools, begs the question why the US spends billions of dollars in other areas, like the US military and nuclear weapons, when it could spend it on its infrastructure, possibly saving lives as a result.\
