Tour De France: Cavendish wins Stage 4

Mark Cavendish has claimed his 1st stage victory since 2016 at the Tour de France after winning stage 4 in a thrilling sprint finish, while Mathieu van der Poel retained his overall lead.

The 36-year-old, who claimed his 31st Tour de France stage victory on Tuesday after clocking 3 hours, 20 minutes and 17 seconds to finish ahead of Nacer Bouhanni and Jasper Philipsen.

Meanwhile, in the general classification, Van der Poel kept his yellow jersey after 4 stages of the Grand tour. Stage 5 will be held on Wednesday, which is a 27.2-km individual time-trial.
