US strikes PMU forces in Iraq

The US military has carried out fresh airstrikes on positions of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units on both sides of the Iraqi-Syrian border.

The Pentagon claims it hit militants involved in attacks on US interests in Iraq. But the PMU says those killed in the strikes were only guarding the border.
