US spy drone downing anniversary

June 20 marks the day Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps shot down an intruding American Spy drone over the coastal province of Hormozgan. At that time, Iran rejected Washington’s claim that the drone was flying over international airspace. The downing of the aircraft sent a clear message to Washington: that Iran is serious about its deterrence claims.
