Iran's economy and presidential candidates

There are times when it comes down to one thing that can change the course of one’s destination. Iran’s presidential election could just be that event.

Only one can win, and only one can steer Iran to the other side, where economic prosperity and productivity exists.

From the economy to arts, culture, and political issues, how do their economic plans measure up?

One candidate says none of the candidate’s plans are realistic. Candidates in Iran's presidential election have had their televised debates, and they were very insightful in their economical thinking.

The topic of lifting Western sanctions, especially those by the US were high on the list. Iran's judiciary chief Ebrahim Raisi called for an end to the "oppressive sanctions".

Ebrhim Raisi criticized the outgoing President Hassan Rouhani's government for the poor state of the economy. He accused the government over galloping inflation and the rapid fall in the value of Iran's currency, and rejected comments by the former central bank chief Abdolnaser Hemmati and other candidates who blame US sanctions for Iran's economic troubles.
