France recession

France, the eurozone's second biggest economy, has fallen into recession in the first quarter of 2021. That’s according to a revised official data. The Insee statistics agency says France’s GDP contracted by 0.1 percent in the first three months of the year. The agency had previously estimated 0.4 percent growth. The country had already experienced one and a half percent contraction in the last quarter of 2020.
