Russia's Soyuz rocket takes off with 36 OneWeb satellites

Russia's Soyuz rocket

A rocket booster Soyuz-2.1B with 36 satellites of British firm OneWeb blasted off on Monday (April 26) from a launch site at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur Region of Far East Russia.

Yuri Gagarin is depicted on the emblem of the launch of OneWeb satellites in honor of the 60th anniversary of the first manned flight into space.

The launch is the second this year from the Vostochny Cosmodrome and the third launch of OneWeb spacecraft from this rocket site.
