All 6 EPL teams withdraw from European Super League

Over football news but off the pitch as, all 6 premier league clubs involved in the European Super League have formally withdrawn from the competition.

The news broke just two days after Europe’s 12 most powerful clubs announced their plans to join the new controversial competition. Manchester City were the 1st club to pull out from the new completion after Chelsea had signaled their intent to do so.

Following the Sky Blues’ decision, the other 4 teams, namely Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool issued statements, following suit. In addition, the Red Devils’ executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward stepped down after the collapse of the League.

Forming the new competition was condemned by fans, league associations, government authorities and prominent football governing bodies of FIFA and UEFA.
