Over the NBA, Eastern Conference leaders the Philadelphia 76ers have overcome the Washington Wizards 127 to 101 at Capital One Arena.
The 76ers were on fire in the opener, taking a massive 17-point lead, but the Wizards managed to cut the deficit to 10 points at 53-63 before the break. Conference leaders found their rhythm again in the second half taking the next 2 quarters by 8 points each to rack up their 4th win a row.
Joel Embid pocketed 23 points for the 6ers, while Russell Westbrook led the way for the Wizards in the losing effort by 25 points. Philadelphia have now improved to 26 to 12 in the season, while the Wizards have fallen to 14 to 22.
