A virtual conference has been held with the participation of over a dozen countries including Afghanistan on the role of women. Afghan lawmakers who attended the conference call the event an opportunity to raise awareness on women’s rights.

Representatives of parliaments of 20 countries have attended a virtual meeting on "women and family-based economy” to discuss key issues related to the role of women in improvement of family-centered economy.

As Afghan attendees of this virtual meeting say, launching such programs paves the way for Afghan women to raise their voices and spread global awareness about their situation in Afghanistan.

Afghan women have picked up some successful steps in different fields in recent years. Participants of the conference took to this event as an opportunity for Afghan women to further improve their capabilities.

The fate of achievements made by Afghan women over the past decades is also a major concern for women . That is why they strongly want all regional and international players to protect such achievements in any possible political deal.

The women's affairs commission of the Afghan parliament struggles to boost its ties with the parliaments of other countries . This is while Afghan women are still deprived of some of their fundamental and basic rights due to widespread violation of women's rights in Afghanistan.
