Palestinian prisoners incarcerated in the Israeli military jail of Ofer started a partial strike by refusing to take their meals in protest against the escalated successive repression and assaults of the Israeli prison service.

According to the Palestinian Prisoners Club Association, for almost two weeks prisoners in Ofer jail have been subjected to harassment including surprise night raids and being sprayed with poisonous gases, in addition to deliberate medical negligence.

Hundreds of Palestinians, including minors, are held in Ofer jail.
