‘The US detains oil ships’ was the slogan chanted by protesters in a demonstration in front of the United Nations office in Sana’a.

The crowd condemned the continued detention of oil ships by the Saudi-led coalition and demanded their release.

The fuel crisis has deeply affected Yemen’s health sector.

Major hospitals, such as Al-Thawra in the capital, are on the verge of closure due to lack of fuel to provide services.

Twelve Yemeni oil vessels are still detained by the Saudi-led coalition. This has worsened the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.

Yemenis blame the United Nations for its apathy toward Saudi Arabia’s illegal detention of oil ships.
