Manchester City have cemented their place at the top of the Premier League after humiliating champions Liverpool 4-1 at Anfield.
The Sky Blues broke the deadlock when Ilkay Gundogan scored from a rebound just four minutes after the break.
But the Merseyside Reds leveled the match when Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah converted from the spot in the 63rd minute.
Man City re-grouped and Gundogan completed his brace, following a howler by Liverpool keeper Alison in the 73rd minute.
Three minutes later, Allison was once again to blame for the visitors’ next goal after presenting the ball to Bruno Silva, whose cross found Raheem Sterling unmarked on the goal-mouth.
Finally, Phil Foden completed the host’s misery after smashing the ball into the roof of the net with seven minutes remaining.
