China’s economy to overtake US

One of the main reasons that China seem to be catching up with the Americans in terms of their GDP growth rate is the fact that they seem to have emerged from the Covid-19 pandemic quicker and more efficiently than the US, and this is being reflected in their economy.
The Covid-19 pandemic has taken its toll on both the Chinese and the US economies, but as we emerge from the pandemic, a report by the Centre for Economics and Business Research suggests that the US economy is expected to grow by around 1.9% annually between 2022 and 2024, slowing to 1.6% after that, whereas the Chinese economy is expected to grow by 5.7% annually until 2025, before settling in at 4.5% thereon
