A Palestinian pregnant woman and a paramedic have been injured following an attack by Israeli forces on a Palestinian hospital in the occupied West Bank, local media reports say.

The Palestinian Information Center, quoting local and medical sources, reported that Israeli forces stormed the medical complex in the city of Ramallah, the seat of the Palestinian Authority (PA), in the occupied West Bank, on Sunday morning.

They randomly started firing rubber bullets, sound bombs, and tear gas canisters at the staff and patients within the complex, leaving them suffering from breathing difficulties due to tear gas.

Sources confirmed that at least one pregnant woman received a rubber bullet injury in her shoulder, while a paramedic sustained a similar injury in his hand during the Israeli raid.

The Tel Aviv regime forces also inflicted serious damage on medical equipment and ambulances parked there.

Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kaila strongly denounced the raid on the hospital, stressing that the Israeli forces endangered the patients’ lives, children and women, and caused panic among them.

She called for an urgent international action to protect Palestinian people and hold the Israeli occupying regime accountable for such crime and violation of the international law.

The attack comes just hours after Israeli warplanes bombed al-Durra Hospital in the besieged Gaza Strip, which injured children receiving treatment at the hospital.

Reacting to the airstrikes, the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, said that Israel was fully responsible for any consequences resulting from overnight airstrikes on the besieged Gaza strip and the regime’s deliberate targeting of homes and civilian buildings.

The Israeli military said in a statement overnight on Saturday that its warplanes had bombed at least three Hamas positions in central parts of Gaza, claiming that the targets were a rocket manufacturing site, underground infrastructure and a military post.

Since 2008, Israel has waged three wars against Gaza, where two million Palestinians live under a 12-year Israeli land, air and sea blockade. Thousands of Gazans have been killed in each of the deadly wars.
