UEFA Champions League: PSG 1-2 Manchester United

Over football news, Manchester United have edged past Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 at Parc de Princes to get their Champions League Group H campaign off to a flying start.

The Red Devils got on the scoresheet after 23 minutes of play when Bruno Fernandes scored from the spot with a twice-taken penalty. But United’s French Winger Anthony Martial leveled the match for the Parisians after scoring an Own Goal before the hour-mark.

However, England striker Marcus Rashford put the icing on the cake with a precise shot, after collecting a pass from Paul Pogba with 4 minutes remaining; 2-1 the final score.

Italian Club Latsio have started their Champions League Campaign in Group F with a 3-1 victory against German Club Borussia Dortmund in Rome. The hosts opened the scoring within 6 minutes when Striker Ciro Immobile netted with a clinical finish from close range.

Latsio grabbed the 2nd in the 23rd minute after Marwin Hitz scored an own-goal when a shot was deflected in, off his head. But Norwegian rising star Erik Haaland pulled one back for Dortmund with a powerful shot near the goal in the 71st minute.

However, Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro restored Latsio's 2-goal advantage 5 minutes later as they marked their return to the Champions League after a 13-year absence in front of 1,000 spectators at the Stadio Olimpico.

In addition, Serie A Champions Juventus started their Group G opening match with a 2 nil victory against Dynamo Kyiv. The Old Lady broke the deadlock just a minute after the break, when Alvaro Morata sent the ball home. The Spaniard then scored his brace with a bullet header in the 84th minute as Juve pocketed all 3 points.
