UEFA Nations League: Germany 2-1 Ukraine

Germany earned their first ever victory in the Nations League, after beating Ukraine 2-1 at Kiev Olympic Stadium in front of 20,000 fans.

The Germans went ahead after Matthias Ginter tapped the ball home in the 20th minute.

Then, Leon Goretzka headed home after an error by the Ukraine keeper, to double the lead for Germany just four minutes after the break.

The hosts managed to pull one back when Ruslan Malinovskiy converted from the spot in the 77th minute.

With the victory, Germany have five points from three matches and sit in second, behind leaders Spain, who have seven points.
