Heavy monsoon rain lashed Pakistan's southern city of Karachi, flooding streets and causing chaos on Tuesday.

Vehicles driving through the water stalled and drivers were seen pushing them through the water. Rescue workers helped people stuck in homes that had become inundated, bringing them to safety on inflatable boats.

The meteorological department has issued urban flooding warnings in Sindh and Balochistan provinces.

At least eight people were killed in Karachi after a spell of monsoon rain hit Karachi last month.
