Paris Saint Germain have managed to seal a 4th domestic treble in 6 years after a 6-5 penalty shootout victory over archrivals Lyon in the last ever French League Cup .

PSG who won Ligue 1 and the French Cup final came into the match at Lyon to pocket another trophy to make a treble in the 2019-20 season.

Following 120 goalless minutes, the match went into a penalty shootout, where both teams scored their first 5 kicks. However, PSG keeper Keylor Navas saved Bertrand Traore’s attempt and Pablo Sarabia scored the winning kick.

Now, the Parisians will focus on the match against Italian club Atalanta in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League on the 12th of August, whereas Lyon will visit Juventus next Friday in the last 16 of the event, holding a 1-nil first leg win.
