Erdogan reads Quran as Hagia Sofia holds Friday prayers

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan leads the first Muslim prayers attended by thousands in Hagia Sofia since the iconic Istanbul cathedral was controversially converted back into a mosque. Massive crowds gather both inside and outside the UNESCO World Heritage site for the ceremony.
