Morocco-Algeria tensions

This edition of Africa Today will focus on an ongoing diplomatic spat between Algeria and Morocco.

We are asking what is the source of tensions between the two powers of the Maghreb and how can they solve their differences.

In this edition we shall also analyze the political situation in the Comoro islands and the continued detention of the country’s former President Ahmed Abdallah Sambi.

The Indian Ocean archipelago of Comoros is rarely in the news, but now there is simmering discontent in this pristine country due to the authoritarian rule by a government cracking down on dissent. The Indian Ocean archipelago nation is made-up of three main Islands, namely Anjouan, Moheli and Grande Comore.
