FIFA has urged football organizers to apply "common sense" and consider not sanctioning players demanding justice for George Floyd during matches.

The world football's governing body said that it fully understands the depth of sentiment and concerns expressed by many footballers in light of the tragic circumstances of the George Floyd's case.

FIFA had repeatedly expressed itself to be against racism and discrimination of any kind and recently reinforced its own disciplinary rules with a view to helping to eradicate such behavior.

Many sports leagues, teams and players around the globe expressed their solidarity amid outrage over the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man killed in police custody in the United States.
